Georgette “Gigi” Dixon, 51, was born in Dover, Del., and moved to Long Island, N.Y., and Greenville, S.C., with her military family. She graduated from Tennessee State University with a bachelor’s in speech communication and theater, and was recruited by Procter & Gamble. “I didn’t plan to go into corporate America, but my dad talked me into trying it out, and here I am,” she laughs.

Dixon was hired into the marketing department of First Union in 1994. Today she is a senior vice president in the Social Responsibility Group at Wells Fargo. Dixon also chairs the board of Opera Carolina and is a member of Women Executives, The Charlotte Links and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. She and her husband, Malcolm, have two grown children.
