Last year Tennessee State Coach Rod Reed wondered if Rico Council would replace him as the Tigers all-time leading tackler. This year Reed is wondering who will replace Council.Council, a middle linebacker, finished with 296 career tackles. Reed made 406 while playing the position from 1985-88. Even though Council didn’t get the record, that was a lot of tackles for one player to make. Reed said it might require more than one player to replace Council.
The 11:15 a.m. scrimmage at Hale Stadium is open to the public.
