Kita Williams is originally from Columbia and is a former member of Bethel Chapel. She is the daughter of Willie Morgan and LaLeta Morgan. Upon graduating from Columbia Central high school, she enrolled in Tennessee State University where she graduated magna cum laude with her Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. She graduated from Meharry Medical College and completed her residency in Neurology at the Medical College of Virginia which was recognized by the American Stroke Association as giving the highest level of stroke care. She is currently working as a neurologist in a multi-specialty practice at Baptist Hospital in Nashville.
