Coach Sims and Dickey To Go Into Tennessee Sports Hall Of Fame

The Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame announced the names of two posthumous inductees to be enshrined at its annual Induction Banquet on Saturday, May 17, 2014, at the Renaissance Hotel in Nashville.

Dorsey Sims, best known as Memphis Melrose basketball coach who was considered one of the best prep coaches in the South; and Eldridge DickeyTennessee State All-America quarterback, are this year’s posthumous selections by the Board of the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame. Dickey died in May of 2000 while Sims passed away in June of 2000.
